About TII

TII is Europe’s premier independent association of technology transfer and innovation support professionals. Its members are working at different points in the innovation value chain, often at the interface between research and industry, where they assist in bringing inventions to market and creating new businesses from state-of-the-art technology or knowledge.

Its annual conference provides a showcase of new trends and initiatives from around the world in extracting value from innovation and brings together future-minded practitioners, researchers and thought leaders from the R&I community, technology transfer and innovation management.

If you would like to share/contribute to this vibrant exchange of knowledge and know-how and network with leading technology transfer and innovation support professionals, then please respond to our Call for Contributions (open until 4 February 2015) and/or register for our conference (see website menu).

TII has some 160 members in 40 countries who come from both the private and public sectors and are active in R&D exploitation, business incubation, IP negotiation, technology brokerage and licensing, prototype and new product development, technology audits and innovation management, company spin-off and start-up support, as well as innovation policy advice and development.

TII membership is open to all organizations and individuals worldwide with a professional involvement in innovation support. Individual members pay EUR 200 and institutional members pay an average of EUR 500.

The association provides its members with services in four main areas: information and networking, good practice exchange, international project/ business development and professional development/ training. Each year TII organizes its conference in a different geographical location on state-of-the-art developments in innovation support and technology transfer. A Project Lab assists members with accessing international R&D&I programmes, identifying partners and drafting project ideas and concept notes. Each summer it holds a 5-day skills development course on methods for creating value from innovation.
